Congratulations to TM Kenny Lee for completing his ALB!!!

We would like to congratulate our President of MEF, TM Kenny Lee for completing his Advanced Leader Bronze(ALB) yesterday,19 Nov 2009 during our meeting!! Thumb up for him!! We are proud of you !

As we know, Toastmaster International Education Programme consists of Communication Track and Leadership track. For TM Kenny to complete his ALB, he needs to fulfilled the following requirement:-

• Achieved Competent Leader (CL) award;
• Achieved Competent Communicator (CC) award (or achieved Competent Toastmaster CTM award);
• Served at least six months as a club officer (president, vice president education, vice president membership, vice president public relations, secretary, treasurer or sergeant at arms) and participated in the preparation of a Club Success Plan while serving in this office.
• While serving in the above office, participated in a district-sponsored club officer training program; and
• Conducted any two programs from The Successful Club Series and/or The Leadership Excellence Series.

The journey in Toastmaster is challenging yet beneficial. His achievement today does not only make him a better leader, but, at the same time, it serves as a motivator to encourage all the MEF members to be like him one day.

We believe that with his passion in Toastmaster journey, his dream to become a Distinguish Toastmaster will become a reality one day...

A Meeting With Suprise

Here comes 5th November 2009 , a day for all MEF members to gather again and grow. We were surprised to have Distinguish Toastmaster and also Immediate Past Division S Governor Charles Tan visiting us for the first time!!! As a DTM, he gave us a lot of encouragement and motivation. Definitely, we learnt a lot from him.

In this meeting, it was very interesting to have a theme about "Halloween". TM Judy, the TOE for the first time asked everyone of us to introduce ourself and asked us to imagine the type of sttire we would like to dress in if we were to go to a Halloween party.. Wow.... our DTM would not want to be other than a man with black suit,imitating a lawyer... Simple yet extraordinary, right? A great warm up for the brain to be imaginative...

IPP YS Lee shared some messages about the President Distinguished Club award where under his leadership, MEF achieved 9 DCP goals. We are hoping that in this new term, MEf will have the same or better achievement. Yes, we believe we can!!!!!!!!

TM Kenny was presenting "Toastmasters Educational Program" of Succesful Club Series as part of his pathway to achieve ALB. After his speech, all the members are clearer of the journey in Toastmaster. TM Kenny aimed to become DTM in 2 years. How about you?

Sometimes, things are unexpected. Our light for the timer to use had broken down. here come the hero,TM Christopher Choog who was try to fix the plug ...Toastmaster is flooded with multi- talented people.

Ding! It is amble card now.... Plan B was used when the light is out of service...

As a whole, it was a fruitful meeting. We does not only gain knowlegde, but, we have also built
a strong bond between all the MEF members.

Dinner Gathering 291009

Toastmasters provide not only a platform to learn communication and leadership skill but it is also a platform for people to build friendship.

In order to strengthen the bond among the members as well as regular guest and visiting toastmasters from other club, a dinner was organized by VPPR, TM Peijun on 29th October 2009 in Tambun Restaurant where nice seafood was served.

A total of 19 people joined this dinner. Beside of MEF club members, there were members from Seberang Jaya TMC & Butterworth TMC join in too. We have also friends which is very close to MEF join us as well.

Some members continue the event by going for some beer time after dinner and it was a wonderful moment for all members.
