Joint MEF Toastmasters club and Seberang Jaya Toastmasters Club Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest (2nd September 2010)

On 2 September 2010, MEF Toastmasters Club and Seberang Jaya Toastmasters Club had a joint Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest which took place at Safira Country Club.

This time, we are proud to have 6 contestants for Humorous Speech Contest. John, Yan Ting and Jeff are new in Toastmasters and we are really admiring their courage in taking part in this competition. The contestants and their speech title are as below:

1) Celine Choy (Understanding Woman)

2) Kenny Lee (Perfect Body Shape)

3) Sree (Communication Error)

4) John Oon (My Romantic Love Story)

5) Phuah Yan Ting (An amazing Creature)

6) Jeff Leong ( I love Mc Nugget)

We also have 4 representatives for Evaluation Speech. They are :

The audience was asked to participate in the dance to. This is a famous dance called : Nobody, Nobody…”


Highlight 7 : Games and treasure hunt

Audiences are asked to hunt for numerous items such as the highest high heels, blue stocking,etc and even the lipstick mark nearest to the lips!!!!!!!! Those table who can find those things is considered the winner…

In this Joint Installation Dinner , we have also foster and strengthen the relationship with other Toastmaster club member.

Highlight 2 : Award Presentation

Toastmaster of the Year should be someone who has contributed to the quality of club in some significant way. This can be accomplished by being the "spark" in the meetings, demonstrating great personal growth, acting as an exemplary leader, volunteerism, going the "extra mile" and consistently contributing to a positive, supportive, encouraging club atmosphere.

Congratulations to TM Kenny, ACB, ALB as he is chosen as the Toastmaster Of The Year for MEF Toastmasters Club!!

Highlight 3: Table Draw and Lucky draw

We are definitely lucky. We got nice key chain for table draw!!!





Is guy is luckier tonight? TM Felix and TM Jeff is the lucky man tonight as they won themselves a watch and a computer mouse!!


Highlight 4 : Scarf King and Queen

These are top 10 nominates for scarf King and Queen. Order for the judges to select the King and the Queen, they are required to do a cat walk and those who get most respond from the audience will given extra marks.



The Scarf King and Queen of the night…. They are presented with a hat and a necklace.
